In this course, our semester-long assignment was to design a performance venue after doing visual research. For my performance venue, I wanted to focus on designing an intimate performance space for any kind of live art and entertainment. Theatre in the round, and music performances would be the main kinds of shows that would be booked at the Ribbonwood Theatre. The main draw of this venue would be the floor to ceiling curtain walls that surround one half of the performance space, allowing guests to see out into the nature behind the venue. The aesthetics for this theatre would be sleek and modern yet rooted in nature.
